Aj is an experimental designer working in sound, furniture, and decorative objects.
Trained in architecture and fine art photography, Aj has been walking the creative path since graduating from CU Boulder in 2017, now living and growing roots in Fruita, Colorado.
He has built Andrew James Studios to explore the intersection of analog craft, design thinking, and experiment. The goal being to create objects, spaces, and systems that offer an opportunity for grounding in an increasingly digital, separated, and uncertain world.
Rooted in a deep respect for process, he uses design as a tool not only for making, but for meaning-making.
He believes that through the tactile, the intentional, and the organic, we can articulate a philosophy of living that values presence, resilience, and beauty in the everyday.
